Collaboration with Team Brad Jacobs Assists Canadian Healthcare Workers on the Frontline of COVID-19 Pandemic

WENDELL, N.C. (JULY 14, 2020)Alongside a dedication to its dealers and customers, KIOTI Tractor, a division of Daedong-USA, Inc., is committed to the health and wellbeing of the communities in which it and its partners serve. To assist healthcare workers on the frontlines of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic this month the company, represented by its partner Team Brad Jacobs, donated 2,000 masks to Sault Area Hospital located in the renowned curling team’s local community.

The mask donation is the latest effort in KIOTI Tractor’s long history of giving back to those in its own and partners’ communities who need it most. Past initiatives include the donation of equipment customized for accessibility to a veteran in need, as well as partnering with the Carolina Hurricanes NHL team to support a nonprofit working to combat hunger near KIOTI’s North American headquarters.

The mask initiative was introduced by the executive team of KIOTI Tractor, fully supported by employees and matched by the company. Employees, agency partners and leadership contributed donations to purchase and deliver the masks. Team Jacobs, the 2014 men’s curling Olympic Gold Medalists that have been a KIOTI partner since 2019, delivered the masks to Sault Area Hospital.

“Our healthcare workers and health systems have given so much these past few months, and we wanted to do something meaningful to assist,” said Anna Kim, COO of Daedong-USA, Inc. “Giving back to our community has always been a priority at KIOTI Tractor, and helping ensure a continual supply of personal protective equipment made sense—for today and for the future.”

“We are thrilled to deliver these masks to Sault Area Hospital through our partner KIOTI,” said skip Brad Jacobs. “We are always looking for ways to give back and support our community, which always supports our team and our partners. Being able to provide valuable equipment that helps keep our local frontline healthcare personnel safe during this time is something we are thrilled to be able to assist with.”

In addition to KIOTI, employees and leadership from the company’s agency partners— Baldwin& and Eckel & Vaughan—also donated to the cause.
