Did a lot of comparisons and finally narrowed the decision down to Kubota, Mahindra, and Kioti. The main issue was that we wanted a company who built their own tractors in-house and provided a great warranty. Kubota lost out due to the much higher price for the same quality. Wasn’t willing to pay extra for a name and higher maintenance costs. Mahindra was better priced, but couldn’t get the same power and features, at the same price. We never wanted all the advanced features. Simply wanted a work tractor with a few modern engine features. The DK matched the bill and was comparable to the Ford tractors of old, with a newer, more efficient engine. Have more than 100 hours on our Kioti DK5310SE HST and couldn’t be happier. In the end, it came down to a personal preference on which tractor worked best for us. Kubota and Mahindra make decent equipment, but Kioti beat them easily with better HP, quality, and warranty for a more reasonable price point. Additionally, a friend was able to get hold of a celebrity that owns Kioti and is not gentle when working them. The review we got back was “Good luck breaking this machine.”
