Wendell, NC – Sept. 16, 2013 – Farming and football come head-to-head at North Carolina State University’s first Ag Day on Sept. 28, 2013, sponsored in part by Wake County’s own KIOTI Tractor. The N.C. State Wolfpack will take on the Central Michigan Chippewas for Families Day at Carter-Finley Stadium. Ag Day was created to honor the agricultural industry in North Carolina and encourage the state’s youth to pursue a career in the industry.
“Part of the reason KIOTI chose to have its headquarters in North Carolina is because of the state’s long heritage in the agricultural industry,” said Peter Dong-Kyun Kim, chief executive officer of Daedong-USA, Inc. KIOTI Tractor Division. “It was a natural fit for us to support Ag Day at N.C. State, which is well-known as a powerhouse in science and research in that field as well as on the playing field.”
According to a recent study by N.C. State, agriculture and agribusinesses account for 642,000 or 17 percent of the state’s 3.8 million jobs. Many of these businesses and individuals turn to KIOTI Tractor products for their reliable service and utilitarian design to help grow their businesses.
As a major sponsor, KIOTI Tractor will have representatives on hand—including several NCSU alumni—at a booth outside of Carter-Finley Stadium and will offer giveaways to visitors. A KIOTI Mechron 2200 UTV will be on display in the Fan Zone, while tractors from the CS, CK and DKSE series will be showcased on the grounds displaying the power and style of KIOTI engineering.
